Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting, supporting a variety of surgical cases including liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplants.
• Assist with organ retrieval, transplantation procedures, and post-operative patient management.
• Proficiently operate specialized equipment such as Misonix and CUSA.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care throughout the operative process.
• Follow strict protocols and prioritize patient safety, especially in time-sensitive transplant cases.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, certifications, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct RN experience in Liver, Transplant, or Operating Room setting.
• Strong transplant skills reflected on skills checklist, with experience in organ implantation and recovery.
• Current certification in ACLS and BLS (must be current at time of submission).
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Proficiency in operating room equipment including Misonix and CUSA.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a teaching hospital or high-volume transplant program.
• Experience floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in time-sensitive situations.

Additional Information

• Shifts: 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts from 11:00 to 23:30.
• On-call: one shift per week and two weekend shifts per month; details discussed during interview.
• Local candidates preferred; RTO policies apply at submission.
• Must be nicotine-free with recent drug screen.
• Travel compliance and credentialing requirements must be met prior to start.
• Negative 10 Panel + Cotinine drug screen required within 12 months of start date.
• Required modules and certifications must be completed prior to start, including orientation EKG and pharmacy tests.
