- Contract, 13 weeks, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, and other critical equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments, including emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or the ability to obtain.
- A minimum of 1 year PICU experience.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience managing vents and drips in a PICU setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NICU experience.
- Additional 1-2 years of PICU experience.
- Experience working with ventilated patients and complex pediatric cases.
