Schedule / Job Type

• Contract, 13 weeks, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, and other critical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments, including emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or the ability to obtain.
• A minimum of 1 year PICU experience.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience managing vents and drips in a PICU setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NICU experience.
• Additional 1-2 years of PICU experience.
• Experience working with ventilated patients and complex pediatric cases.
