Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment with a 7 on/7 off schedule, days only

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and reporting results
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and make minor repairs to laboratory instruments and equipment
• Ensure accurate quality control and utilize Laboratory Information Systems effectively
• Collect, handle, and process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric volumes when applicable
• Participate in the development and implementation of new testing protocols and procedures
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety policies, including completing required documentation

Required Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Valid Louisiana State Licensure
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution or equivalent training
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts according to schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, urinalysis, or body fluids
• Prior clinical laboratory experience, especially within a hospital or accredited lab setting
