• Full-time nights shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays, 12-week assignment, travel position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide whole-patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit, including labor support, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Assess and monitor fetal and maternal well-being using fetal monitoring and clinical skills.
• Assist with procedures such as C-sections, intra-uterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries.
• Transition newborns from delivery to postpartum while assessing initial health status.
• Respond to OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN systems.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery with the ability to manage labor, recovery, and newborn transition.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring.
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and OB emergency protocols.
• Ability to perform procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, and assisted deliveries.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with inductions using Pitocin or Cervidil.
• Ability to handle OB emergencies like shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

Additional Details

• Position available for one RN, backfill travel assignment.
• Uniform required: pink and/or brown scrubs as per unit policy.
• No techs or secretaries on the unit, but staff are cross-trained for flexibility.
• Unit functions as a strong team with a focus on safety and quality care.
• Experienced staff with an average of 30 years of nursing expertise.
• Facility is a Level II NICU, Joint Commission accredited, and has a Level II Trauma designation.
