Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time | Non-exempt, rotating shifts, approximately 10 hours per shift, 1 shift per week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures following established protocols
- Ensure proper patient positioning, optimal image quality, and adherence to radiation safety principles
- Review physician orders, coordinate imaging exams with radiologists and other modalities
- Retrieve and review prior mammography images for comparison and interpretation
- Educate patients on breast health, self-examination, and related topics
- Support quality control, equipment operation, and departmental care initiatives
- Assist with bone density, CT, general X-ray, and fluoroscopy procedures as needed
- Participate in departmental meetings, outreach, and mammography service promotion
- Take call as assigned and perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
- ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography
- Active California Radiologic Technologist License
- Active California Mammographic Technologist License
- Active California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist License
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
- California Venipuncture Certificate (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Minimum of 5 years of mammography technologist experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting multiple imaging modalities beyond mammography
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and quality control procedures
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
