- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy to oncology patients in a blood cancer/BMT unit.
- Provide specialized nursing care for bone marrow transplant patients.
- Monitor patients’ cardiac status using telemetry equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain compliance with safety and treatment protocols.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Experience with chemo/biotherapy administration, BMT, and hematology.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Prior experience in a blood cancer or bone marrow transplant unit.
