Job Title

Location
• Shreveport, LA

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, temp-to-perm potential, 7 on / 7 off, Wednesday-Tuesday 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with flexibility to change

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures including specimen processing, testing, and reporting of results
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and protocols
• Cross-train within various laboratory sections as needed
• Utilize Laboratory Information System (LIS) for data entry and result verification
• Handle specimen collection and processing, ensuring minimal sample volumes for pediatric cases when applicable

Required Qualifications
• Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Valid Louisiana State License
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a laboratory science or medical technology field from an accredited institution or equivalent training
• Ability to maintain current certification if expired

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior clinical laboratory experience, including rotations in blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, or urinalysis
• Experience working with Laboratory Information Systems
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes or additional responsibilities
