Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age group served on the medical-surgical unit.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care in accordance with organizational standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and collaboration when interacting with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Maintain compliance with all clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and licensing requirements.
• Respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations, providing critical support as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Ability to handle physical demands, including prolonged standing, lifting, and positioning patients.
• Strong communication skills tailored to patient developmental levels.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a medical-surgical or acute care environment.
• Knowledge of bloodborne pathogen standards and infection control protocols.
• Ability to work flexible hours with adaptability to schedule changes.
