Key Responsibilities

• Provide perfusion services during surgical procedures in an acute care hospital setting
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Adhere to hospital and industry protocols, including licensing, certifications, and compliance requirements
• Cover weekend call rotations approximately every 5th weekend, with potential holiday coverage
• Complete charting accurately using Cerner electronic medical records system
• Maintain all required certifications and licenses, including state licensure and BLS

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a perfusionist in an acute care hospital setting
• Active Illinois licensure in perfusionist specialty (must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work rotating weekend call shifts and potentially holidays
• Valid SSN and date of birth for compliance needs
• Willingness to float within hospital or to affiliate facilities as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Level I trauma center hospital environment
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and position-specific clinical modules
• Prior experience with RQI certification preferred
