Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, monitor fetal heart rate using EFM, and respond to patient needs during labor and postpartum.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective maternal and neonatal care.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately within OBIX electronic medical records.
• Support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain a sterile and safe environment in a rural healthcare setting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license applicable to Texas.
• Experience in rural healthcare or Labor and Delivery.
• Strong assessment skills and proficiency in fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Ability to work independently in a small, two-person department.
• Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal nursing care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level II Maternal and Neonatal Care setting.
• Comfortable working in areas with challenging housing options, such as RV or temporary accommodations.
• Familiarity with OBIX electronic medical records.
