Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery department.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, monitor fetal heart rate using EFM, and respond to patient needs during labor and postpartum.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective maternal and neonatal care.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately within OBIX electronic medical records.
- Support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in a rural healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license applicable to Texas.
- Experience in rural healthcare or Labor and Delivery.
- Strong assessment skills and proficiency in fetal monitoring (EFM).
- Ability to work independently in a small, two-person department.
- Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal nursing care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level II Maternal and Neonatal Care setting.
- Comfortable working in areas with challenging housing options, such as RV or temporary accommodations.
- Familiarity with OBIX electronic medical records.
