Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical unit
• Manage infusion therapies including insulin and heparin drips, and perform wound care procedures such as dressing changes and wound vac management
• Monitor and document patient status using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Respond to call-ins and participate in storm or hurricane response teams when required
• Float within similar units as needed, including alternate care locations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical setting
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Valid and current NC or Compact RN license in hand at start
• Able to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Must be able to work holidays and handle COVID patient care if assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification preferred
• Experience as a charge nurse or in similar leadership roles
