Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to residents with various disabilities to promote healing, relieve pain, and improve function.
• Deliver treatments as outlined in the established care plan in accordance with supervising Physical Therapist.
• Record treatments and monitor patient progress, ensuring accurate documentation following policies and regulations.
• Support and educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding therapy interventions.
• Ensure continuous delivery of high-quality care and respond to patient needs effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Physical stamina to assist with patient movements and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a clinical or physical therapy setting is a plus.
• Compassionate and patient-oriented approach to patient care.
