Therapist Respiratory Therapist

Job Title

• Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (3x12 hours), on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care to adult and pediatric patients in ICU, ER, and general care settings.
• Work independently with minimal staffing, sometimes with only two therapists on night shifts.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage at sister facilities.
• Complete required modules and ensure all certifications are up to date prior to start.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic charting system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid WV or COMPACT RN license (pending license acceptable).
• At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including PICU and ER settings.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NALS for Peds (via American Heart Association).
• Ability to work shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including some weekends and float as needed.
• Must have at least two recent references from managers or charge nurses.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a Level IV Trauma Center or teaching hospital.
• Experience working with critically ill adult and pediatric patients.
• Ability to adapt to float shifts and open schedules.
