Speech-Language Pathologist
Primary Purpose: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, collaborating with educators and families to support learning in a bilingual environment. The SLP will work closely with the Special Education team to implement IEPs and support compliance with IDEA and other regulations.

- Location: Providence, RI
- Pay: Starting at $49/hr (Contract),Starting at $48,000 (based on years of experience and degree level) (Salary)
- Schedule: May vary based on location
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or beyond.
- RI SLP Licensure is required thru RI DOE.
- ASHA SLP-CCC Certification is required.
- ESOL Certification highly preferred.
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, developmental delays, etc.)
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with children in school settings, preferably in bilingual/dual-language programs.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) proficiency preferred.
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and evidence-based practices in speech-language services.
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
- Experience with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs).
- Training in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices.
- Familiarity with digital tools and data systems used in special education documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech-language needs.
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language services to students in inclusive and pull-out settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and eligibility determinations.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies into instruction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, services, and progress toward IEP goals.
- Consult with families to provide support and training on speech and language development.
- Use culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Support the implementation of AAC and other communication supports as needed.
