Key Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital sign monitoring
• Assist residents with meals, snacks, hydration, and supplements while promoting a positive dining experience
• Support residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment; assist with range of motion and passive exercise
• Document resident care and behaviors in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations using an electronic medical record system
• Handle and dispose of linens, soiled clothing, and supplies properly; maintain consistent hand hygiene and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Provide psychosocial support and comfort to residents as part of daily care routines

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved, accredited nursing assistant training program
• Active and valid CNA certification in the state of South Dakota
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Proficiency or ability to learn electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and meet the physical demands of the role, including moving, positioning, and assisting residents

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems used in a clinical care environment
