Speech-Language Pathologist & Speech-Language Pathologist Supervisor (SLP-CCC)
Primary Purpose:
Provide speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders, helping them succeed in their educational program.
Position Details:
Location(s): Lake Wales, FL and Davenport FL
Pay: Starting at $51/hr (SLP-CCC), Starting at $40/hr (Clinical Fellow)
Schedules: May vary based on location
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- FL SLP License (FLBSLP)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC)
- Open to SLP Clinical Fellows
- Knowledge of assessment tools, therapy strategies, and behavior management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- 1+ year of supervised clinical experience
- Evaluate and provide therapy for students with speech/language disorders
- Develop and implement IEP goals and track student progress
- Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with teachers and parents
- Provide training to school staff on communication strategies
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with state/federal guidelines
- Supervise SLP assistants when assigned
- Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathologists and clinical fellows, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
- Oversee speech-language evaluations, treatment planning, and service delivery to ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including special educators, behavioral specialists, occupational therapists, and administrators to support student outcomes.
- Review and monitor IEP goals, progress reports, and documentation for accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Support staff in implementing evidence-based interventions targeting communication, social pragmatics, executive functioning, and AAC systems.
- Facilitate team meetings and contribute to school-wide MTSS and special education initiatives.
- Partner with families to promote carryover of communication strategies across school and home environments.
- ??????????????Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of new SLP staff members.
- School-based setting with occasional travel
- Requires standing, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 45 lbs.)
- Must handle interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress
