Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical/surgical patients, including pre- and post-surgery care.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare, administer, and record medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) in accordance with hospital policies.
- Educate patients and significant others on surgical procedures, post-treatment home care, and illness/injury management.
- Monitor and operate specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays, and take corrective actions if adverse symptoms arise.
- Assist physicians during examinations and treatments, change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
- Valid ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting.
- Ability to float between Lander and Riverton campuses if needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for pediatric/adolescent patients occasionally.
- Strong time management skills and ability to respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards.
