Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries within the CVOR setting.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during complex cardiac and transplant procedures.
• Document patient information accurately using the EPIC charting system.
• Maintain flexibility to cover various shifts, including 8-hour and 12-hour rotations, with call responsibilities.
• Participate in call periods, including weeknights and weekends, distributed equitably among staff.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and standards for a Level I Trauma facility.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgery.
• At least 1 year of CVOR experience.
• 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility.
• Valid nursing license in Ohio or a valid compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, NIH.
• Skills: General OR, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Vascular, Transplant.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system.
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting and background checks promptly.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with OR charting and familiarity with hospital call schedules.
• Experience working in a high-acuity, trauma, or transplant environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaboration in a fast-paced surgical setting.
