• Full-time, day shifts, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting, including scrub duties and intraoperative support.
• Assist with cardiac surgeries and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Maintain sterile techniques and proper setup for all CVOR cases.
• Work within scope to float as needed and support other surgical cases when no CVOR cases are scheduled.
• Respond to cardiac call commitments approximately 6 times per month, including weekend shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, including scrub experience.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current at time of submission).
• NIHSS certification obtained prior to start date.
• Active nursing license acceptable for the state of Florida.
• Negative 10 Panel drug screen, including nicotine (cotinine), within 12 months of start.
• Must include all scheduled RTO requests at submission; no late RTO approvals.
• Nicotine-free status required; no exceptions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a short-term acute care, teaching hospital setting.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting systems.
• Ability to quickly adapt to hospital modules and urgent call requirements.
