Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services primarily in the labor and delivery (L&D) unit, with flexibility to work in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric units as needed.
• Float between specialized units including NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics based on hospital staffing needs.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP (for designated units).
• Ensure compliance with Indiana state licensure requirements and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with medical teams ensuring high-quality patient care for neonates, children, and critical care patients.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines, including holiday and weekend shift requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana State Respiratory Therapist license (or must have applied for one).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PICU, NICU, or Pediatric hospital settings within the last 3 years.
• Recent NICU or PICU experience, with the ability to work in a Level 1 children's hospital environment.
• BLS, ACLS, NBRC RRT credentials; NRP preferred.
• Willingness to work every other weekend.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
• References from supervisors verifying experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in labor and delivery (L&D) units.
• PALS certification.
• Experience floating across pediatric critical care units and providing coverage in multiple specialties.
• Familiarity with hospital policies regarding holiday work and travel compliance.
