- Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services primarily in the labor and delivery (L&D) unit, with flexibility to work in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric units as needed.
- Float between specialized units including NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics based on hospital staffing needs.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP (for designated units).
- Ensure compliance with Indiana state licensure requirements and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with medical teams ensuring high-quality patient care for neonates, children, and critical care patients.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety guidelines, including holiday and weekend shift requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana State Respiratory Therapist license (or must have applied for one).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PICU, NICU, or Pediatric hospital settings within the last 3 years.
- Recent NICU or PICU experience, with the ability to work in a Level 1 children's hospital environment.
- BLS, ACLS, NBRC RRT credentials; NRP preferred.
- Willingness to work every other weekend.
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- References from supervisors verifying experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in labor and delivery (L&D) units.
- PALS certification.
- Experience floating across pediatric critical care units and providing coverage in multiple specialties.
- Familiarity with hospital policies regarding holiday work and travel compliance.
