Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting during designated shifts
• Assist with cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Perform charting and documentation using EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in call duties, including 12-hour weekend blocks and weekday evenings, on a rotating basis
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards before, during, and after surgical procedures

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio or eligible for Ohio licensing
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing
• At least 1 year of CVOR experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Current BLS, NIH certifications
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system
• Knowledge of general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with in-house weekend rotations and call duties
• Familiarity with Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing processes
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and quick credentialing timelines
