Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) setting during designated shifts
- Assist with cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Perform charting and documentation using EPIC electronic health record system
- Participate in call duties, including 12-hour weekend blocks and weekday evenings, on a rotating basis
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards before, during, and after surgical procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio or eligible for Ohio licensing
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in cardiac, vascular, and transplant nursing
- At least 1 year of CVOR experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Current BLS, NIH certifications
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
- Knowledge of general OR, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with in-house weekend rotations and call duties
- Familiarity with Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing processes
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and quick credentialing timelines
