Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients, including neuro, stepdown, and trauma cases.
• Float between ICU and stepdown units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.
• Document patient care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Utilize neuro-specific skills and tools, including NIHSS assessments, to support patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursys nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in neuro ICU or similar specialty.
• Proven neuro unit-specific experience, with background in trauma or similar-sized facilities.
• Strong understanding of ICU protocols, neuro assessments, and patient monitoring.
• NIHSS certification or experience with neuro assessments.
• Ability to work 8-hour night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a trauma level facility or teaching hospital.
• Demonstrated ability to float between units while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Skills checklist and recent demographic/profile information loaded in the system.
