Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during assigned shifts in the Emergency Room.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and documenting accordingly.
• Address patient and family learning needs and discharge planning throughout the care episode.
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete patient education and competency testing as per unit standards.

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years of current experience in a large Emergency Department.
• Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through approved organizations.
• Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite; re-test opportunities are limited, and failure results in contract cancellation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic electronic health record experience (training available if needed).
• Flexibility and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
