Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 shifts per week, rotating 12-hour day and night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology patients across all stages of treatment, from diagnosis through end-of-life care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, ensuring patient safety and responding promptly to changes
• Administer chemotherapy and other antineoplastic treatments following established protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in patient education focused on treatment, side effects, and recovery
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and fall prevention measures within a busy oncology unit

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio or compact nursing license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology or medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to interpret telemetry monitoring data
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts on a rotating schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology certification such as ONS Chemotherapy Certification (preferred)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system and computerized charting
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
