Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting
- Follow all care plans and document patient care accurately in electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical team
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the nursing leadership
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care
- Support residents with daily activities and ensure a safe environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska LVN / LPN license in hand
- Current BLS certification
- Previous LTC/SNF experience required
- Ability to obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (one-time $10 fee)
- Candidates must meet travel and licensing requirements, including a minimum of 1 year LTC experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with electronic charting systems (ECSP or similar)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and possible holidays

Note: Candidates must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance to operate a facility vehicle. Housing options vary; candidates must arrange their own prior to start if housing isn’t provided.
Additional Information
- Shift details: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule, days or nights depending on facility needs
- Compensation includes 60 guaranteed hours every two weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one shift
- Candidates must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays and provide references covering at least one year of LTC or SNF experience
- Candidates will float within the facility as needed and must adhere to facility policies on vaccination and licensing timeline requirements
