• Full-time, Day shift, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to a medical-surgical unit with a focus on urology/nephrology cases
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, utilize telemetry, and respond to emergency situations using rapid response teams
• Manage pre/post-hemodialysis care and renal failure cases
• Administer IV therapies, including blood products and central line management
• Perform medication administration such as Heparin and other critical drugs
• Assist with respiratory care procedures, including chest tube management, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and oxygen therapy
Required Qualifications
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
• Ability to float within scope to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in urology/nephrology or renal dialysis units
• Knowledge of wound care and wound vac management
• Familiarity with infection control precautions and isolation protocols
• Experience administering Heparin and managing PICC lines

Additional Details
• Travel compliance to Tier 2 standards; candidates must be able to complete necessary licensing and onboarding steps in a timely manner
• Candidates must be available to work holidays, with a requirement of working 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No on-call required; floating within scope is mandatory
• Local candidates accepted; no radius restrictions
• Parking is provided at no cost during the assignment
