Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to women in labor, during delivery, postpartum, and to newborns, ensuring maternal and infant well-being
• Monitor labor progress, perform assessments, prepare for procedures such as C-sections and inductions, and document nursing care accurately
• Administer medications, including IV treatments, and adhere to infection control protocols within the OB department
• Offer emotional support, prepare delivery rooms, and coordinate transfers as needed
• Educate patients on postpartum and infant care, ensuring comfort and safety during all stages of maternal care

Required Qualifications

• Valid Colorado RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (preferred, or within first year of employment)
• ACLS certification within one year of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 4 years of obstetrics nursing experience preferred
• Knowledge of labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to perform effectively under stressful conditions
• Ability to handle technical aspects of mother and infant care and work effectively with diverse populations
