• Contract, Nights shift, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to post-operative surgical, trauma, medical overflow, and wound care patients.
• Administer IV therapy, manage drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs with critical thinking and a compassionate bedside manner.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid active Illinois RN license or confirmation that licensure application has been initiated.
• BLS certification.
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial for submission.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotate holidays as required.
• Understanding of post-op care, trauma, and wound management.
• Must have good bedside manner and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for post-op surgical, trauma, or medical overflow patients.
• Experience with IV therapy, wound care, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively with charge nurses and patient care techs in a fast-paced environment.
