Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults with diverse cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, including MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, and lung surgeries.
• Interpret EKGs and titrate IV medications such as Cardizem and Heparin.
• Monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including Cpap, Bipap, and high flow systems for COVID-19 patients.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including medication titration and interpretation of telemetry monitors.
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Illinois RN license or active license application in process.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EKG interpretation, medication titration, and basic nursing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips on Phillips monitors.
• Knowledge of various ventilator and respiratory support equipment.
• Must understand and comply with drug-free policy and provide negative drug screens.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous telemetry or cardiothoracic nursing experience.
• Familiarity with ventilator management and high-flow oxygen systems.
• Experience working with adult patients requiring complex medical monitoring.
