Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Devils Lake, ND
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts (full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Perform daily rounds to ensure quality care and coordinate patient needs effectively.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments, considering patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess symptoms, and respond promptly to changes, including managing pain and recognizing early warning signs of deterioration.
- Assist with emergency interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes.
- Facilitate discharge planning through patient education and counseling, ensuring safe and informed transitions.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in North Dakota or a Compact State agreement.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- STABLE certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary team coordination in OB settings.
