Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, with 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for medically complex hematology and oncology patients, including those requiring blood products, antibiotics, and symptom/side effect management
• Perform head-to-toe assessments, administer medications, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team and families
• Float to various med-surg units within Fargo as needed, including oncology, hematology, and bone marrow transplant units
• Follow all unit protocols, including proper badge-in/out procedures and dress code (navy blue scrubs)
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC and other equipment such as Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and more
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and maintain patient safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ND or Compact RN license, or willingness to obtain one
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability to perform procedures such as blood product administration, medication management, and symptom assessment
• Must have worked previously for Sanford Health with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Inpatient oncology experience, particularly hematology and bone marrow transplant
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Experience with chemotherapy administration a plus
