Schedule / Job Type
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, full-time
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting
• Monitor and support high-acuity micro preemies, including those on respiratory support and post-surgical
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans for complex neonatal cases
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and document patient progress accurately in Epic charting system
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2+ years of NICU experience, specifically in Level III/high-acuity NICU environments
• Certification in CPR and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience caring for 44-week gestation micro preemies, high acuity cases, and surgical neonates
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Level IV NICU or similar high-level neonatal units
• Familiarity with respiratory support management and grower feeder protocols
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems, preferably Epic
