- Full-time, 4x12 night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU).
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform assessments within scope of practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner charting system.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and escalate as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid DC RN license (must be in hand at submission).
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience (4+ years preferred).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification.
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday.
- Flexibility to float within scope to meet hospital needs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital setting.
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
- Previous experience in a busy ICU environment.
