• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a unit with 22 beds (16 rooms), including those recovering from burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries.
• Perform common procedures such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy.
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC systems and manage medication administration via Pyxis system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care while floating within the hospital as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards during night shift operations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio or a qualifying state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC) and medication systems (Pyxis).
• Ability to complete fingerprinting and credentialing processes promptly.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience working in a teaching hospital environment.
• Familiarity with the specific patient population and common procedures.
