Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), 13-week travel assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing care in a labor and delivery setting, utilizing clinical assessment and judgment.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, care provided, and clinical observations accurately.
• Educate patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership and adherence to professional standards, including ANA guidelines and hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or compact state.
• Current certification in BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE, and NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience in perinatal nursing preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent practice in a perinatal or labor and delivery setting.
• Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program.
• Ability to assess complex psychological, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families.
