Registered Nurse - Psychiatric
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), every other weekend, no on-call requirements, holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients in a hospital or clinical setting
- Monitor patient mental health status and administer medication as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient progress and updating medical records accurately
- Respond to patient needs and provide appropriate intervention during night shifts
Required Qualifications:
- Illinois RN license
- CPR certification
- CPI certification (or willing to submit upon acceptance)
- Epic electronic health record experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with psychiatric patient care and mental health treatments
- Ability to perform psych skills assessments and manage psychiatric medications
- Strong documentation and communication skills
