Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the surgical patient population in the Operating Room.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care in compliance with organizational standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical practices related to perioperative nursing and patient safety.
• Respond to emergency and crisis situations in the surgical environment.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including bloodborne pathogen standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• BLS Certification via AHA.
• ACLS Certification via AHA.
• Minimum 1-year OR nursing experience.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and perform physical tasks requiring movement, lifting, and positioning of patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous perioperative or surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills suited for the fast-paced OR environment.
