• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Kealakekua, HI
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 1 shift per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized labor and delivery nursing care in a rural community hospital
• Manage approximately 45-50 deliveries per month
• Perform intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring to ensure maternal and fetal well-being
• Assist with nursery and couplet care, providing support to new families
• Float to support other departments as needed, while primarily serving as a labor and delivery nurse
• When designated as charge nurse, receive additional compensation
Required Qualifications
• Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse license
• Prior experience in Labor & Delivery and nursery care
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring (intermediate or advanced level)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Willingness to float to other departments as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in rural healthcare settings is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities during labor and delivery
