Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients on a cardiac telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing complex arrhythmias
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Lasix, and Nitro as needed
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring for pre/post cardiac procedures, stress tests, and other cardiac interventions
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical records
• Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate units as required, based on census and skill set

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including telemetry care
• Active NC or Compact RN license, in hand at start of assignment
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with cardiac procedures such as PPM, AICD, Watchman, and carotid stents
• Experience managing cardiac drips and arrhythmias in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start date
