- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients on a cardiac telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing complex arrhythmias
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Lasix, and Nitro as needed
- Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring for pre/post cardiac procedures, stress tests, and other cardiac interventions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical records
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate units as required, based on census and skill set
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including telemetry care
- Active NC or Compact RN license, in hand at start of assignment
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
- Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with cardiac procedures such as PPM, AICD, Watchman, and carotid stents
- Experience managing cardiac drips and arrhythmias in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start date
