- Full-time, day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments and supplies for various cases.
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to safety protocols during surgeries.
- Support surgeons and nursing staff in a fast-paced level-one trauma center environment.
- Document procedures accurately using department-specific charting systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technician experience.
- NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted).
- BLS certification.
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency.
- Ability to float and work across multiple units as needed.
- Valid South Carolina RN license (or proof of application/active status).
- Willingness to work independently and adapt to a dynamic surgical environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and robotic (DaVinci Xi) cases.
- Familiarity with complex surgical procedures such as trauma, transplants, and burns.
- Prior experience in a teaching hospital or Level I trauma center.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and call shifts as scheduled.
