Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient correctional health unit, including IMC, PCU, and stepdown units.
• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed to support staffing.
• Ensure staff safety within a secure correctional environment.
• Document patient care utilizing the EPIC system and manage medication administration via Pyxis.
• Monitor patients with active oncology diagnoses, including treatments for solid tumors and hematologic conditions.
• Respond to emergent situations, interpret cardiac telemetry, and manage related medical equipment and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand at the time of submission.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• EPIC charting experience is required.
• Experience or knowledge in oncology preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and manage complex patient care needs in a correctional setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology care experience is advantageous.
• Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or critical care units.
• Proficiency with IV therapy, including PICC line management and medication protocols like Heparin and PCA.
• Skilled in respiratory management including oxygen therapy and ventilator support.
