Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-Time, Night shifts (3x12 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
• Monitor and interpret complex cardiac rhythms, manage hemodynamic lines, and administer IV medications and vasoactive drips.
• Assist with advanced procedures including chest tube management, ventilator support, and transcatheter interventions.
• Manage post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those from OR, cath labs, and ECMO.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care for those with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical guidelines, protocols, and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or CVICU experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac monitoring, and management of complex cardiovascular cases.
• Proven ability to manage invasive lines, IV sedation, and vasoactive medications.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• SICU or cardiac ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery care, pre/post angiography, and specialized cardiac devices.
• Knowledge of ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pumps, TAVI/TAVR procedures, and renal replacement therapies.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience.

• Shift scheduled nights, 3 days per week, 12 hours each.
• Must complete compliance requirements, including background checks, education verification, and pre-employment modules prior to start.
• Candidates should be prepared for an EKG pass/fail exam during onboarding.
