Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, no shift specified (day/night rotation, every third weekend, holiday coverage based on rotation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby patients in a critical access hospital setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess patient needs, and manage postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.
• Experience in maternal, postpartum, or neonatal care preferred.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts effectively.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a hospital setting, specifically in Mother/Baby or postpartum units.
• Knowledge of neonatal and maternal health standards.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
