Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to residents and patients with various disabilities to alleviate pain, restore, or improve function, and promote healing.
- Deliver treatments according to established plans of care, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Empathy and patience when working with patients.
- Physical stamina to assist patients with movements and exercises.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is a plus but not required.
