Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit, including high-risk obstetric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using the nursing process to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved policies, standards of care, and state regulations.
• Document patient care activities accurately and completely according to standards.
• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and support shared governance.
• Utilize clinical expertise and critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns appropriately.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with education verification.
• Experience in high-risk labor and delivery at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a high-acuity obstetric setting.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and emergency procedures related to labor and delivery.
