Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit.
- Function as a circulating nurse during deliveries, including assisting with surgeries in 4 ORs and performing post-delivery neonatal care.
- Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and adhere to AWHONN guidelines.
- Support high risk pregnancies and manage patients with diagnoses such as maternal/fetal complications, postpartum issues, and substance recovery patients.
- Assist with assessments, medication administration, and routine procedures for mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of high acuity, high-risk obstetric experience.
- Current and active Compact License (all Swedish facilities) or eligible non-Swedish license with eligibility for travel.
- Must have current supervisory references confirming experience.
- Certification in BLS, NRP, and proof of required certifications at submission.
- Ability to pass clinical review and comply with all licensing and certification requirements.
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC hard stop processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high patient volume.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate certifications.
- Experience with postpartum, antepartum, and neonatal care (eyes, thighs, assessments, medications).
- Previous experience supporting private OBs, community clinics, and substance recovery services.
