Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week contract, night shifts, 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic and spine patients.
• Monitor and administer treatments using equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry, wound vacs, and specialty beds.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Support a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including proper dress code and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred but optional.
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond effectively to patient needs.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Punctuality and ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience on orthopedic/spine units.
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Ability to handle a diverse patient population including trauma, post-catheterization, and special procedures.
• Knowledge of advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
