- Travel, 13-week contract, night shifts, 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic and spine patients.
- Monitor and administer treatments using equipment such as Alaris pumps, telemetry, wound vacs, and specialty beds.
- Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Support a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including proper dress code and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred but optional.
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond effectively to patient needs.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Punctuality and ability to learn quickly.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience on orthopedic/spine units.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
- Ability to handle a diverse patient population including trauma, post-catheterization, and special procedures.
- Knowledge of advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.
