- Full-time, contract, nights (3x12 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to pediatric patients with cardiac diseases in the CVPICU.
- Manage ventilated and intubated patients, utilizing inotropes and vasoactive medications.
- Monitor and maintain central lines, arterial lines, and PIVs, with a focus on CLABSI reduction.
- Collaborate with a team in a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, capable of transferring and admitting patients within shifts.
- Float to the PICU as needed, supporting pediatric critical care operation requirements.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and standards, including charting and medication administration.
Required Qualifications
- Active state license (OH license required at submission or multi-state license)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric critical care or CVPICU.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be current and submitted with application).
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for an 8-week contract.
- Experience with Neonates, infants, and adult patients with cardiac conditions.
- Comfortable managing ventilated patients and using advanced medication infusions.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Exposure to Berlin and Heartmate devices.
- Experience with inotropes, vasoactive medications, and complex pediatric cardiac cases.
- Previous experience working in a hospital with float capacity.
