Registered Nurse LTC/SNF

Registered Nurse - Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Seward, AK

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, rotating shifts, 12-hour days and nights, 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient health status
• Ensure documentation is accurately maintained using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement resident care plans
• Adhere to all facility policies, protocols, and safety standards
• Support on-call duties and provide patient care within scope as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Alaska RN license in hand at time of start
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of LTC or SNF experience
• Ability to complete the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including holidays
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for vehicle use
• Candidates must be at least 25 years old to qualify for facility-provided rental vehicle

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with electronic charting systems (e.g., Epic)
• Ability to float within scope to different units as needed
• Familiarity with LTC resident care protocols
