Registered Nurse - Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Seward, AK
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, rotating shifts, 12-hour days and nights, 4 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient health status
- Ensure documentation is accurately maintained using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement resident care plans
- Adhere to all facility policies, protocols, and safety standards
- Support on-call duties and provide patient care within scope as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Alaska RN license in hand at time of start
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of LTC or SNF experience
- Ability to complete the Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including holidays
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for vehicle use
- Candidates must be at least 25 years old to qualify for facility-provided rental vehicle
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience with electronic charting systems (e.g., Epic)
- Ability to float within scope to different units as needed
- Familiarity with LTC resident care protocols
