• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to surgical and tele?? populations, including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, and spine patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes using appropriate nursing procedures.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate effectively using systems like EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and competence across different care settings.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Valid NC or Compact State RN license in hand at start date.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Basic proficiency with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience accepted; first-timers are also encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication system and hospital SBAR communication protocols.
• Experience working night shifts for at least 12 months.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
